Work can be very mundane and boring so weekends off are something to look forward to. For someone who needs to juggle work, school and other commitments, like me, a sense of fun and adventure is perfect.
After years of planning, the RankMarketer Team, finally got the chance to meet and enjoy. Where else but at Papa Kits Marina and Fishing Lagoon!

Since I live in Lapu-Lapu, I went ahead of Blondelle, Myla and Dorell. I came an hour earlier so I still got the chance to enjoy the view. This is not the first-time that I visited Papa Kits so I am a bit familiar with their facilities.
Before we started with our adventure, we needed to get our tummies filled first.
In Poblacion, Liloan, there are different food finds especially on Sundays. There are vendors selling kinilaw, masi, barbecue and other yummy food. As we are a group with two kids tagging along, we decided to eat at Hayag Eatery to enjoy Liloan’s famous lechon.
The eatery is a house with the veranda converted into a restaurant. It can accommodate a hundred guests.
We ordered a kilo of lechon, puso and barbecue. It was delicious even without sauce (because I am not much of a sauce person). There were six of us but we paid only PhP600+ for our meal.
After eating, we headed back to Papa Kits. The adventure begins!
First on the list is the zip line. The towers are about six stories from the ground. The zip trip is divided into two, each taking 400 meters far. The line crosses Silot Bay and into an islet where the second zip trip is launched.
It was a very windy day so only one zip line was operated. Children and lighter people are also encouraged to zip on duo to achieve the right weight otherwise they will get stuck midway. (Un)luckily for me, being the lightest person in the group, I got stuck a few meters from the end of the first zip so one of the operators had to “zip” to fetch me. The trip back was however easier.
We tried the Jungle Adventure next. I got a little disappointed because the Tarzan Jump was no longer available. I was looking forward to screaming my heart out. LOL. But as expected, it was a great exercise for the legs and arms with all the holding and balancing that we did.
We also wanted to try the wall climb adventure but it was noon time and the wall was too hot for anyone so it was closed. Dorell and I got the chance to goof off and had our pictures taken during our “climb”.
Papa Kit’s offer other attractions like wake boarding, swimming pool and horseback riding. There is also a restaurant for guests who feel hungry.
We left the adventure area and headed to go fishing. I am one who has no patience whatsoever when it comes to fishing so I passed and just chose to accompany my friends. I figured, it was a good call for me. Peace, guys!
Because they never got any fish, Blondelle’s mom just told him they will buy fishes in Carbon the next day. Hahaha
We left Papa Kit’s happy.
Since we were already in Liloan, I asked my companions if we could go to the famous parola. They obliged (thankfully).
The parola is formally known as the Bagacay Point Lighthouse. It is over a hundred years old but it still works and guides ships as if it were just built a few years back. The bad thing however is that there are not any store in there or even benches to sit on. If they could develop the place more and have public transport available, it would be a great tourism spot.
Despite not staying too long, I am happy because I ticked one of the things on my bucket list which is to see a lighthouse up close.
We headed back home and promised to plan our next adventure (which could happen in a few years time… right guys?).
