This
post is long overdue. Let me tell you the story of Telesfora Gorordo,
the woman who is said to be haunting Casa Gorordo and why hers is a
story that should be endeared, not feared.
When
my sister and I went to visit Casa Gorordo last December, I was
already teasing her about the woman who is supposedly haunting the
museum. During our tour though, that woman became more than just a
creepy figure but a person whose story I came to love.
Telesfora
Gorordo's brother is Juan, Cebu's first bishop. She became a spinster.

She
was a well-loved aunt to her nephews and nieces. She has a knack for
sewing great garments and for storytelling. Her room was a lovely mess of
a sewing machine, cloth, thread, and other things she needed for sewing. The
kids loved going to her room to hear the stories she had to tell.
But
Telesfora wasn't just a woman who let her prime go pass her. She fell
in love and was about to marry. According to our guide, she was
set to marry her boyfriend but he had to go away for a business trip.
He
never returned.
Telesfora
waited for years for him. Even after death.
According
to the stories of the people working in the old house, she would be seen in the terrace from time to time, looking far, as if waiting for someone.
They
also shared that sometimes, she would be telling them to buy more
flowers for the caro.
Amazing
indeed is the love that she has shown.
P.S
We
never got to see Telesfora or felt her presence while we were touring
the house. My sister has been teasing me that I will be just like
her, a spinster. Her story is also same as mine, she said.
When
we got home and as my sister was scanning through the photos that we
took, a 6-minute video was retrieved. It was our whole tour of the
old house.

My Professor asked as to make an article about our house tour at Casa Gorordo and I choose to write Telesfora because like you I feel inlove with her story but at the same time it gave me chill. My professor let us share article in the class and He told us that Telesfora visited him in his dream saying that one of his students mentioned her in an article, I cried so hard because only me wrote it. My fellow classmates was shocked and I was so scared. By the way, my professor claimed that he have third eye.

I NORAH PEDRO from Norway, have been into a relationship with daniel mark since I was 22 years old and I am 28 now.
