At Wits End

"I believe the root of all evil is abuse of power."

- Patricia Cornwell

Why do some people love to see people suffer?

I have long heard of the notoriety of this group but in the instances that I’ve had to deal with them, I have done so in diplomacy. The first few times, I expressed verbally. The last time, I wrote a 5-page letter of explanation leaving them dumbfounded as their baseless accusations were easily disputed.

Then it was time to leave.

I was told it would be difficult financially but I know it was the wisest decision to do. I wasn’t happy anymore and the days just felt like torture to me.

It was time to prove what everyone has been saying all along. While you believe that these people have at least some compassion in them, there just seems to be none.

The delays have been dragging on. What frustrates me more than the fact that they’ve been telling me to wait, as if the 15-day allowance they let me sign wasn’t followed, is the fact that they just don’t show remorse over everything.

Day in and out, they continue to make others, people that they hate, more miserable.

Capilla Santa Ana: Faith and Elegance Rolled Into One

#Adulting is real.

It's been months since Rubie and I saw each other last because, yes #adulting got so real for both of us. We've planned about going on a quick trip.

Planning... planning... and more planning happened before we finally decided to go (or at least until Feb. 25th became the agreed date).

DESTINATION: Capella Santa Ana, Poblacion, Toledo City

2 Corinthians 4:8-12

Rejections aren't the prettiest things in the world.

But if there is anything worth thanking God for right now, it is the assurance that somewhere out there, the sun will come out.

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11 For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. 12 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.

There Is Joy in Waiting

"Willing to wait ma'am?" asked the crew of the restaurant. I wanted to give the crew a stern look. In this day and age, who wants to wait?

But I waited anyway...

Telesfora: Loving After Death

This post is long overdue. Let me tell you the story of Telesfora Gorordo, the woman who is said to be haunting Casa Gorordo and why hers is a story that should be endeared, not feared.
