I am not the type who makes a great deal out of my birthday. Of course, every year I make it a point to thank God for the gift of life and the good and bad experiences of the previous year but I am never the type to throw a grand party.

Last Wednesday (July 6, 2016), as our Muslim brethren were celebrating the end of the Ramadhan, Irene, Ivy, Queenie and I had our own little celebration.

One Afternoon at Café Talk

The past few months had been very challenging for my career and personal life but thankfully, there are people who stuck it out with me through the hardest times. As I am the eldest, it is expected of me to be strong but thankfully, at times when I feel like giving up, I have my older cousins to run to. Ate Marge is one of those. Even if she is working in Doha, she makes it a point to comfort, scold and give me pieces of advice when needed.
